Michigan Cerebral Palsy Resources guide  Cerebral Palsy of Michigan has created an interactive guide to find help for children with disabilities anywhere in Michigan.  Although their intent is to help those dealing with birth injuries, their site includes all the major organizations that help with any disabilities and is a value resource for care, support, and help with daily living, employment, etc.

Oakland University has many Recreational Programs for families who have a member with autism.  There are special sports programs led by instructors who have experience teaching individuals with ASD.  There are parent support groups, parent training series, and many adult programs.  They also teach employment skills programs such as Photoshop and animation.

Provides individual and systems based advocacy services that enable people with disabilities to exercise control over their lives and to create a lifestyle of their choice. DNOM assists people with disabilities in navigating systems and services.

 VISUAL IMPAIRMENT INCLUDING BLINDNESS
If you live in Michigan and you're blind or visually impaired, the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons will work with you to define your goals and identify appropriate training and other services. Funded by federal and state taxes, BSBP provides counseling and training in skills for daily living without vision. Depending upon your needs and eligibility for specific services, BSBP may also provide some types of adaptive equipment, computer software, and postsecondary education.   Click here to find your local office

NLS is a free braille and talking book library service for people with temporary or permanent low vision, blindness, or a physical disability that prevents them from reading or holding the printed page. Through a national network of cooperating libraries, NLS offers books the way you want them: in braille or audio formats, mailed to your door for free, or instantly downloadable.

NLS works to ensure that all may read by providing eligible patrons access to NLS materials regardless of age, economic circumstances, or technical expertise. Explore the tabs using the menu on the left. Share the gift of reading, and spread the word about NLS so that all may read.
